Position: Accounts Payable Clerk

Job Classification: Part-Time

Hours: 30 hours a week, Monday through Friday

Reports to: Accounting Manager

Job Description :

The ideal candidate for the Accounts Payable Clerk position will have a can- do attitude, be self-motivated, goal-oriented, possess excellent organizational skills, be an effective problem-solver, work quickly with time-sensitive material, and have the ability to communicate well with people. This position maintains all activities relating to the accounts payable system. This individual must be able to accurately complete data entry; must be systems oriented and able to prioritize and execute daily tasks under deadline, ensure that payments are made and properly recorded by posting receipts and resolving discrepancies. All tasks will be performed while supporting the policies, goals and safety practices of Tröegs Brewing Company.

Accounting   Responsibilities

· Perform data entry of manager coded and approved vendor invoices into the AP system.

· Process AP report, print approved checks for payment, mail checks and file AP invoices after payment.

· Generate list of ACH payments to vendors, email remittance then, file all documents.

· Work with other brewery departments for invoice approvals

· Monitor and maintain AP mailbox 

· Respond to accounts payable inquiries and communicate with customers via phone, email, mail, or personally.

· Maintain all AP files

· Review employee expense reports for appropriate documentation and manager approval prior to payment. 

· File customer invoices and payments (customer record keeping)

· Cover Administrative Assistant duties as required for vacation, sick days, etc. 

· Additional duties as assigned. 

Requirements

Skills, Attributes and Other Required Qualifications:

• Good computer skills; knowledge of MS Office (especially Word and Excel)
• Strong knowledge of Troegs Brewery, its history and its products. 
• Ability to remain seated for an extended period of time.
• Ability to follow direction and work independently.
• Attention to detail is a must.

Education and Qualifications

• A high school degree; emphasis in business or accounting preferred, or at least 1 year of work related experience is required.
• Working knowledge of SAP accounting software.
• Experience in customer service preferred.
• Experience with accounts payable.
• A true love of beer.
