What you’ll do Tutor AP English Language and Composition remotely on the Varsity Tutors platform. Set your own hours and tutor as much as you’d like. Get matched with students whose needs align with your teaching style and expertise. Utilize the AI-powered Tutor Copilot to enhance sessions with real-time support, lesson generation, and engagement features. Handle invoicing and payments through the platform (logistics are managed for you). What we look for in a tutor Strong communication skills and an engaging teaching style. Expertise in AP English Language and Composition and the ability to explain concepts clearly. Ability to personalize lessons and adapt to different learning styles. Preference for candidates with tutoring or teaching experience and graduate-level education. Compensation and logistics Base contract rates start at $18/hour and can increase for specialized subjects, with potential to reach up to $40/hour. Paid up to twice per week for tutoring sessions conducted and invoiced. No commuting — tutor remotely using our Live Learning Platform.
