$50.00/hr - $56.00/hr
Job Title: Business Analyst
Contract Duration: 6 Months
Pay range $50 - $56/hr
Location: Oakland, CA

- Analysis and reporting experience.
Job Responsibilities - Performs analysis on moderately complex data models, selecting from various reports and data options.
- Determines data needs, collects data, and selects from different analytical techniques to achieve desired data outcomes.
- Understands business needs, develops new reports, and performs custom/ad-hoc reporting, working independently.
- Presents findings to various audiences.
- Performs basic research internally and externally.
- Communicates with peers inside and outside the department, exchanging ideas or gathering information.
- Performs quality control analysis and editing of department deliverables.
- Participates in project teams.
- Plan to utilize selected candidates in a QC role, reviewing and editing the reports we are creating for external delivery.
- Beyond the scope of work, they may assist in the development of other reports as needed
Education Minimum - Bachelor of Science in Business, Law, Finance, Economics, Engineering, or related discipline, or equivalent work experience required.
Experience Minimum: - 2 years of related work experience
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (Desired) - Knowledge of different analytical methods, approaches, and tactics
- Designs a gap analysis process to identify improvement needs based on external and internal stakeholder input and evaluation.
- Monitors and ensures closure/completion of projects and/or other program requests.
- Identifies issues, develops solutions, and presents recommendations and a tactical implementation plan to leadership for approval
- Full understanding of fundamental analysis and what-if modeling, and how different factors affect business outcomes
- Qualitative and quantitative analytical skills
- Organizational, prioritization, and multi-tasking skills.
- Adaptable to changing business conditions and ambiguity
- Presentation skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Project, Visio, or similar software
Technical Competencies - Advanced in Quality Control Analysis
- Proficient in Project Management Skills
- General understanding of Operational Monitoring & Analysis and Presentation Skills
Note: - Our client is open to local(near work location) and non-local candidates. If the selected candidate is outside of the client service territory, the assignment will be 100% remote, and the candidate will connect via citrix. If the selected candidate is within the client service territory candidate is required to be on-site at the Oakland office one day per week.
- Calls and meetings to be conducted via MS Teams.
