Job Description

A Team Home Services is looking for a carpenter/handyman to join our team based in and around Austin, Texas ! This tradesperson will be responsible for constructing wooden structures and fixtures as well as providing on-site installation, repairs, and maintenance. The ideal candidate is prompt and reliable, has superior support skills and excellent communication. He/she will have a proven track record of client satisfaction and is motivated to provide superior service.

Responsibilities :

  • Execute a range of carpentry tasks, including framing, finishing, and installation, according to project specifications and blueprints
  • Measure and mark materials with precision, ensuring accurate cuts and placements.
  • Install doors, windows, cabinets, molding, and other wooden components securely and in a level and plumb manner.
  • Diagnose and repair damaged or deteriorating wooden structures and components, including roofs, floors, and walls.
  • Adhere to safety guidelines and best practices to prevent accidents and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Maintain accurate records of work completed, materials used, and hours worked, as well as any necessary permits or inspections.
  • Tool Maintenance: Keep tools and equipment in good working condition, performing routine maintenance and repairs as needed.

Qualifications :

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Completion of a carpentry apprenticeship program or equivalent on-the-job training.
  • Proficiency in using a variety of hand and power tools.
  • Knowledge of construction and safety regulations.
  • Strong mathematical and measurement skills.
  • Attention to detail and precision in work.
  • Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy materials.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Valid driver's license 
  • Provide 3 references

Pay rate : $25-$40 hourly or earning up to $120,000 annually with bonus potential
