Job Description

Clean Harbors is seeking a CDL Class B Hazmat Driver to operate various light and heavy-duty trucks/equipment at customer sites. Work involves driving and assisting with hazardous waste clean-up, utilizing vehicles such as Vacuum Trailers, roll-off trailers, and box trucks. Key Responsibilities:

• Prioritize health and safety, complying with all safe work practices and policies.
• Operate commercial trucks and support field laborers in a collaborative team environment.
• Load and unload trucks safely and efficiently.
• Ensure customer satisfaction during service delivery.
• Adhere to proper placarding of vehicles according to company and DOT regulations.
• Maintain accurate daily logs, time sheets, and reports.
• Follow all local, state, and federal compliance regulations.
• Safely operate vehicles following U.S. DOT requirements.
• Observe corporate operating guidelines and procedures meticulously.
• Carry out all duties as assigned, including emergency response on a rotating basis.
• Engage in site-remediation and decontamination of equipment.

Qualifications:

• Required: Valid Class B CDL.
• Ability to obtain Hazmat and Tanker endorsement within 90 days of employment.
• Proficient with mobile devices.
• Capable of performing physical tasks as required by the job.
• Must pass a background check, drug test, and physical examination.
• Meet facial hair standards for respirator use according to OSHA regulations.

Preferred:

• Commercial driving experience.
• Existing Hazmat and Tanker endorsements.
• Prior experience with hazardous materials.
• Ability to operate a manual transmission.
• Experience with manual labor.
