Job Description

Clean Harbors is seeking a Class B CDL Hazmat Driver who will operate both light and heavy-duty trucks and equipment at customer sites. The role involves driving a variety of vehicles including vacuum trailers, roll-off trailers, van trailers, box trucks, and high-powered vacuum loaders. You will carry out critical driving and non-driving tasks related to hazardous waste clean-up.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prioritize health and safety by adhering to all work practices and policies.
• Operate commercial trucks and assist field laborers as part of a team.
• Drive a variety of Class B trucks.
• Handle loading and unloading of trucks.
• Ensure customer satisfaction during service delivery.
• Properly placard vehicles to meet Company and DOT requirements.
• Maintain accurate daily logs, time sheets, and reports.
• Comply with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Safely operate vehicles in compliance with all governing bodies.
• Observe corporate operating guidelines and environmental health and safety practices.
• Perform additional assigned duties as needed.
• Be available for on-call emergency response on a rotating basis.
• Engage in site remediation, equipment decontamination, and hazardous materials handling.

Qualifications:

• Must possess a valid Class B CDL.
• Willing to obtain Hazmat and Tanker endorsements within 90 days of employment.
• Comfortable using various mobile devices.
• Ability to perform physical tasks as required by the job.
• Complete a background check, drug test, and physical examination.
• Meet OSHA's facial hair standards for respirator use.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Commercial driving experience.
• Existing Hazmat and Tanker endorsements.
• Previous Hazmat handling experience.
• Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles.
• Experience with manual labor.
