Job Title: Coding Quality Review Specialist (Remote – U.S. Only)
Location: Work from Home (Excluding CA, AK, NY, CO)

Our client, a nationally recognized provider of revenue cycle services, is hiring a Coding Quality Review Specialist to lead and perform inpatient and outpatient coding audits across multiple hospital and physician practice locations. This is a fully remote opportunity (excluding CA, AK, NY, and CO residents) for experienced professionals ready to take ownership of data quality and compliance.

What You’ll Do:

• Conduct quality reviews (routine, pre-bill, policy-driven) for both inpatient and outpatient coding
• Review MS-DRG and outpatient coding for accuracy and compliance with national standards
• Ensure adherence to internal policies and official coding guidelines
• Lead special audit projects as assigned
• Maintain 95%+ accuracy and productivity benchmarks
• Stay updated on industry best practices, data standards, and company policies

What You’ll Need:

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Health Information Management or Health Information Technology preferred
• RHIA or RHIT certification required
• IP Coding Auditor certification for MS-DRG required
• 10+ years of medical coding experience, including 3+ years in MS-DRG inpatient auditing
• Ability to code across all body systems (no specialization)
• In-depth knowledge of national coding guidelines and compliance protocols
• Ability to pass a comprehensive 90-minute coding assessment
