Data Implementation Specialist For Specialty Risk Insurance

The Data Implementation Specialist for Specialty Risk Insurance plays a critical role at the intersection of business, data management, and technology. This position is designed for an analytical and detail-oriented professional with specialized experience in renters and travel insurance data. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating, mapping, and deploying data solutions that empower underwriting, claims, and analytics functions across specialty risk insurance lines.

This role will require a hybrid work schedule in any of our US AmTrust Offices.

Responsibilities

Lead and manage data integration projects for renters and travel insurance portfolios, ensuring seamless onboarding and mapping of external and internal data sources.

Collaborate with product managers, actuarial teams, and IT to define and implement data requirements supporting new and existing specialty risk insurance products.

Design, document, and optimize data workflows, with an emphasis on data accuracy, security, and regulatory compliance.

Perform data validation, cleansing, and enrichment to support underwriting, claims assessment, pricing models, and operational analytics.

Establish and maintain data quality metrics, dashboards, and audit processes for ongoing improvement and transparency.

Work with vendors and third-party data providers to automate data ingestion, transformation, and integration into core insurance systems.

Troubleshoot data-related issues and provide prompt solutions to business stakeholders.

Stay current on industry trends, data privacy legislation, and best practices specific to renters and travel insurance sectors.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Information Technology, Actuarial Science, Business Analytics, or related field; advanced degree is a plus.

3+ years of experience working with data within the insurance sector, with a focus on specialty risk lines such as renters and travel insurance.

Proficiency in R, SQL, ETL tools, and data visualization platforms (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).

Experience with insurance core systems and third-party data integrations.

Strong knowledge of data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) and compliance requirements relevant to insurance data.

Excellent analytical, organizational, and project management skills with a high attention to detail.

Proven ability to communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

Direct experience with renters and/or travel insurance data models, workflows, and regulatory regimes.

Hands-on involvement with large-scale data migration or digital transformation projects.
