Job Description

The Freelance Bilingual Content Writer is responsible for writing, translating, and editing pieces, making sure they align with the teachings of the Catholic Church, the mission of EWTN, and the goals of the Mission Advancement Department's Direct Response Group. The writer will:

• Write creative, effective Spanish and English copy for a variety of projects
• Oversee Spanish translation and transcreation efforts across multiple channels
• Follow relevant brand guidelines for copy style, tone of voice, and target audience
• Understand campaign or project objectives and how they connect to direct response copy and incorporate any feedback in a timely manner
• Work closely with the Content Manager and Editors to maintain all copy standards throughout projects
• Collaborate with Graphic Designers and other team members and agency partners to deliver quality creative solutions
• Write paid media and social display ads

The ideal candidate will

• Have fluency and stellar writing skills in English and Spanish
• Be knowledgeable of copyediting and grammar rules (and when to break them)
• Possess strong organizational skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Be a creative and dynamic self-starter, comfortable with taking initiative and able to work against deadlines with minimum supervision in a fast-paced work environment
