Senior HashiCorp Vault Engineer - Privileged Access Management (Contract) Worksite: Chicago, IL (Hybrid, mandatory onsite 3x/week onsite) Primary Responsibilities This seasoned professional will lead critical initiatives for our Privileged Access Management (PAM) team, driving the enterprise-wide HashiCorp Vault secrets management implementation. The role requires deep, hands‑on experience with large‑scale HashiCorp Vault migrations, supporting the transition of 700+ applications from legacy systems to a modern Security Zone HashiCorp Vault architecture. Core Deliverables Provide expert‑level operations support for HashiCorp Vault infrastructure and advanced configuration management Architect and implement sophisticated secrets management capabilities for critical hybrid business applications Maintain and optimize development, pre‑production, and production HashiCorp Vault environments with enterprise‑grade reliability Design and implement secure, automated integrations for seamless secrets retrieval across complex application ecosystems Lead strategic planning and solution architecture for governance‑level approval processes Advanced Technical Leadership Develop comprehensive strategies covering on‑premise, hybrid, and multi‑cloud infrastructure implementations Execute enterprise‑scale integrations including group policies, directory services, authentication methods, and monitoring frameworks Implement complex Auth Methods, Secrets Engines, and Policies for large‑scale application workload onboarding Define and execute sophisticated phased implementation approaches across AWS, production, disaster recovery, and backup datacenter environments Drive future privileged access management strategy development with senior stakeholders Infrastructure and Automation Expertise Manage enterprise HashiCorp Vault servers in AWS through advanced Terraform pipeline automation Develop and maintain sophisticated Ansible roles for HashiCorp Vault deployment and management Lead automated delivery of HashiCorp Vault components across multiple datacenters and network zones Create comprehensive technical documentation and conduct knowledge transfer sessions Required Qualifications Essential Experience (5+ years minimum): Current, production‑level experience with HashiCorp Vault functionality, administration, and enterprise architecture Deep engineering expertise in HashiCorp Vault implementations at scale Advanced proficiency in AWS cloud services implementation and management Expert‑level experience with CI/CD deployments using Terraform in production environments Advanced scripting capabilities in Bash, PowerShell, and Python for enterprise automation Technical Depth Requirements Comprehensive technical mastery of all HashiCorp Vault components, advanced functionality, and enterprise requirements Proven track record implementing and integrating HashiCorp Vault across diverse, complex application portfolios Current working experience with Jira, Powerbroker, and Ansible in enterprise environments Demonstrable expertise in managing HashiCorp Vault at enterprise scale with 500+ applications Senior Level Mid‑Senior level Employment Type Contract Job Function Engineering and Information Technology #J-18808-Ljbffr Delphi-US, LLC - Peacemakers in the Talent War
