Location: Oak Brook, IL

True Group, Inc. (True) is looking for a Head of Media Production who will lead a creative team in meeting both client-facing and internal needs. The Head of Media Production will be responsible for collaborating with Subject Matter Experts from local and remote teams as well as producing virtual and live Town Hall and Strategic Plan Updates for True, among other events. The candidate must possess a keen eye for detail and be able to produce clear, concise, creative, and professional deliverables. The role will oversee the production team to meet management requirements. Job duties will vary depending on the setting but will generally include scheduling studio time and overseeing set designs, scripts, and/or audiovisuals. Additionally, duties will include editing and final production of various media-related events. This candidate needs to bring a can-do attitude, energy, and enthusiasm as well as critical thinking skills to True. This role is an integral part of producing pre-taped and live video elements for an annual conference of over 1,000 in-person attendees and reports to the Chief Knowledge Officer. Responsibilities:

  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of media professionals, including writers, editors, videographers, and graphic designers.
  • Provide guidance, feedback, and support to team members to ensure project success.
  • Collaborate with team members to develop and execute media production strategies.
  • Oversee the entire media production process, from planning and scripting to filming, editing, and final delivery.
  • Develop and manage project budgets and schedules.
  • Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Manage resources, including staff, equipment, and facilities.
  • Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to understand their needs and objectives.
  • Develop creative concepts and strategies for media productions.
  • Ensure media content aligns with brand guidelines and target audience preferences.
  • Create presentation materials for live and pre-recorded events.
  • Ensure all media production adheres to quality standards.
  • Review and provide feedback on media content during all stages of production.
  • Address any issues or problems that arise during the production process.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, stakeholders, and team members.
  • Collaborate with other departments and teams to ensure seamless execution of media projects.
  • Represent the media production team at meetings and presentations.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, technology advancements, and best practices in media production.
  • Continuously seek ways to improve production processes and quality.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in mass communications, radio/TV broadcasting, digital media, advertising, or a related field as well as 10 years of experience producing video programming or relevant experience
  • Expertise with various types of media production and editing, plus a strong portfolio of samples (ideal to have previous experience producing and editing multiple media for many projects all under strict deadlines)
  • Client-facing experience and excellent communication skills
  • Experience in producing in-person, virtual and hybrid conferences, from developing the vision to producing the actual event
  • Experience in creating integrated digital content across multiple channels: digital, video, live streams, social media, and mobile
  • Proficiency in leading a team of diverse, talented creatives
  • Strong creative vision, with a keen eye for detail and on business objectives
  • Experience in project management, with a focus on creative direction preferred
  • Experience Directing Live and Taped Video Content preferred
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud Suite preferred
