Job Description

About Recover Now

Recover Now is a healthcare organization committed to transforming lives through comprehensive addiction treatment and compassionate behavioral health care. Our primary focus is helping individuals break free from the cycle of substance use with evidence-based programs that support healing, stability, and long-term recovery.

Alongside our core addiction services, our network also includes Eating Disorder Treatment Centers (EDTC) and specialized mental health programs designed to meet people where they are and guide them toward sustainable wellness.

We’re looking for a creative, organized, and digitally savvy Marketing Coordinator to help elevate our online presence and support our mission of expanding access to life-changing care.

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role located in Birmingham, AL, for a Marketing Coordinator. The Marketing Coordinator will play a key role in developing and executing digital marketing efforts across the Recover Now and EDTC brands. This position focuses heavily on content creation, social media management, SEO support, website updates, and analytics reporting. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, has strong creative instincts, and is comfortable working within healthcare compliance standards.

This role collaborates closely with the marketing team, leadership, clinical staff, and external vendors to ensure consistent branding and effective communication across all digital channels.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage monthly content calendars across all relevant platforms (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, Google Business Profile, etc.).
  • Create engaging content, including graphics, reels/short-form video, photos, blog posts, and educational materials.
  • Film and edit content during visits to facilities, including staff highlights, program overviews, and brand storytelling.
  • Monitor trends, platforms, and best practices to recommend new ideas that increase reach, engagement, and brand awareness.
  • Ensure all content aligns with brand voice, organizational values, and HIPAA compliance.
  • Assist with updating website content, landing pages, and blog posts (WordPress).
  • Support SEO initiatives, including keyword research, metadata updates, internal linking, and content optimization.
  • Assist with local SEO efforts for Google Business Profiles, including posts and updates.
  • Maintain consistency of branding, tone, and messaging across all digital and printed materials.
  • Support the creation of patient-centered narratives, educational campaigns, and awareness initiatives.
  • Assist with content needs for recruiting, admissions, alumni engagement, and community relations.
  • Coordinate with external agencies or contractors on PPC or paid social campaigns.
  • Assist with creative asset collection, ad copy revisions, and performance reporting as needed.
  • Experience in paid social campaigns preferred.
  • Work closely with clinical and administrative teams to gather updates, patient-safe content ideas, and program highlights.
  • Support event-related content requests, photography, or promotional materials.
  • Manage project timelines, ensuring deadlines are met and content is delivered on schedule.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or related field — or equivalent experience.
  • Strong writing, editing, and communication skills.
  • Experience creating content for social media platforms.
  • Proficiency with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar design tools.
  • Basic understanding of SEO principles.
  • Familiarity with social media analytics dashboards and reporting.

Preferred:

  • Experience in healthcare, behavioral health, or wellness marketing.
  • Understanding of HIPAA and compliance-driven messaging.
  • Experience with WordPress or similar CMS platforms.
  • Hands-on experience with video editing tools (CapCut, Adobe Premiere, Final Cut, etc.).
  • Familiarity with CRM or email marketing platforms.
  • Basic knowledge of Google Ads or Meta Ads.

Who You Are

We’re looking for someone creative, energetic, and detail-oriented, with the ability to work on multiple brands and projects at once. The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, and eager to test, learn, and adapt in a fast-paced environment. Compassion and professionalism are essential, as you’ll be working with sensitive topics across mental health, addiction, and eating disorders. Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate seamlessly with both clinical and non-clinical teams are key to thriving in this role.
