Job Description

An elementary school in Decatur, GA is seeking a dedicated part-time ESOL teacher to support young learners in grades K-4. This role offers an opportunity to deliver targeted language development instruction that fosters English proficiency and inclusion within a supportive educational environment. The position starts ASAP and continues through May 2026, with daily sessions designed to meet the unique needs of English Language Learners (ELLs).

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide daily ESOL instruction to a small group of elementary students, tailoring lessons to individual proficiency levels
• Conduct WIDA screenings as needed to assess incoming students
• Collaborate with classroom teachers and staff to support ELL students across content areas
• Monitor, document, and communicate student progress regularly
• Implement individualized strategies to foster language acquisition and inclusion

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelors degree and valid state ESOL certification with at least two years of experience teaching ELL students; OR
• Bachelors degree, valid teacher certification, and current enrollment in a gifted education endorsement program
• Experience working with elementary-aged students (K-4)
• Proficiency using digital tools such as Google Workspace, Parent Square, and Liveschool preferred
• Strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to student growth

Position Details:

• Part-time with daily sessions lasting 4560 minutes (approximately 57.5 hours per week)
• In-person instructional format at one campus in Decatur, GA
• Caseload currently includes 2 students with additional WIDA assessments anticipated
