Construction Safety Manager
Location: Dayton, OH
Duration: 3+ Months (Immediate Need)
Employment Type: 1099 Contractor (Potential opportunity for Full-time W2 role)

Position Details
  • Hourly Rate: $55/hr

  • Per Diem: None

  • Completion Bonus: $150/month

  • Pay Frequency: Weekly

  • Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8-hour shifts | 40 hours/week

  • Travel: Company vehicle and fuel card provided (gas covered)

Project Scope

The Field Safety Manager will oversee safety operations across multiple mechanical contracting projects, including commercial construction, industrial work, and military contracts. Most project sites are located in Dayton, with additional site visits and inspections in Cincinnati and Columbus.

Qualifications
  • OSHA 30 required

  • Valid driver's license required
  • Minimum of 2 years of safety experience

  • Mechanical construction experience preferred

  • EM 385 preferred

  • Must be able to pass a background check (required for access to military sites)

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct routine safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments

  • Support incident investigations and implement corrective actions

  • Deliver safety orientations and training for employees, subcontractors, and new hires

  • Collaborate with project teams to proactively identify and mitigate hazards

  • Maintain safety performance, incident, and compliance documentation

  • Promote a strong safety-first culture across all levels of the organization

  • Solid understanding of EHS principles and construction safety regulations

  • Ability to clearly communicate safety standards and expectations
