Pay Rate: $65.00 (W2) / $73.00 (INC)
This role is 100% REMOTE / HOURS: MON-FRI 8am – 5pm (CST)
Scrum Master will lead the body of work that will be performed in collaboration with an external vendor. This is a vendor hosted/vendor supported procurement solution that requires a Scrum Master resource assignment throughout the project lifecycle and possibly into operational ongoing support. They will implement and provide oversight of scrum processes applied to operations throughout the organization and/or in specific work units. This includes coaching team members in scrum methodology, leading scrum events, and eliminating barriers to assure successful sprints. They will proactively collaborates with all stakeholders to support release planning and foster team decision-making, while facilitating collaboration between the scrum team and Product Owner.
Responsibilities Support cross-functional Scrum teams to add value efficiently through the practice of scrum events and agile principles.
Provide and communicate backlog tracking, monitor burndown charts and product metrics, forecast velocity, and oversee the flow of work related to tasks associated with each requirement (user story).
Coordinate and facilitate all agile events making sure the team is working smoothly and every team member has tools to get their work done efficiently.
Forecast the numbers of scrum deliverables possible in an iteration, which is based on evidence and reliable source.
Remove product impediments while continuously negotiating with the product owner throughout the product development life cycle.
Improve the efficiency of the development team.
Provides continuous education to the Scrum team on agile methodology.
Manage Scrum team conflicts while keeping the product on track within the agreed upon budget.
Ensures the scrum team completes the work they commit to.
Influences upstream, that is to upper management and leadership across the business to ensure the progress of agile transformation/journey is not interrupted.
Coach scrum team members on agile principles.
Daily Tasks Coordinating and facilitating all scrum events throughout the life-cycle
Facilitating and participating in the daily scrum
Helping the team maintain their burndown chart
Shielding the team from interruptions during the sprint
Removing obstacles that affect the team
