The Security Manager partners and collaborates with Field Asset Protection and Field Operations management teams with physical security and safety needs. This role is the primary liaison with security equipment vendors and alarm companies, managing $1.3M in annual security operating expense. The Security Manager determines allocation of more than $0.5M annually in Capital physical security projects and major equipment upgrades per risk-based assessment process and oversees security at our corporate location, including loss control for jewelry/gem receiving and transfers and direct supervision of security staff. This role acts as the primary administrator for all Company support office access control system and primary point of contact for Service Channel service ticket queuing system for all store physical security and safety R&M. The Manager maintains vendor relationships and partners with other departments, including Procurement and Facilities to negotiate service contracts and manages alarm permits and false alarm fines to reduce cost and risk. This position reports to the Sr. Director of Loss Prevention and must report to the office location 80% of the time. CANDIDATES MUST RESIDE IN OR AROUND AUSTIN, TX.

Key Areas of Responsibility

  • Oversees and assists in all corporate security matters
  • Manages physical security for store locations according to risk based needs
  • Provides support for problematic, unique, or high-profile projects and service work
  • Responsible for approving security related invoices
  • Responsible for administration of access control system
  • Responsible for ensuring security related service tickets are completed in a prompt, cost-effective and efficient manner
  • Responsible for providing support for emergency response team at any time required

Critical and Essential Tasks

  • Coordinates with alarm companies to schedule needed service for store alarm systems
  • Coordinates with alarm companies and other vendors to oversee installation of security systems in new, remodeled, or newly acquired stores
  • Designs security system for new, remodeled and newly acquired stores
  • Issues access codes and ID badges for the company’s access control system
  • Monitors day-to-day security at Corporate Headquarters
  • Provides support to corporate level team members for security related needs and situations
  • Attends security-related conferences and vendor shows
  • Keeps up to date on the latest physical security and safety technologies
  • Maintains vendor relationships
  • Strategically seeks new vendor relationships to provide most technologically sound solutions

Requirements/Experience

4 years of experience managing physical security projects in a multi-unit environment, overseeing installation of alarm and CCTV systems, managing multiple vendors to accomplish tasks in multiple locations

Education

High School diploma

Job-Specific Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

· Demonstrated strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills; attention to detail and accuracy; and time management and organizational skills.

· Highly proficient in the use of MS Word, MS Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook

· Strong communication skills, including presentations utilizing PowerPoint.
