Job Description:

We are seeking a Shuttle Driver to join our team. The key responsibility for this role will be to safely transport employees to and from assigned destinations using occupancy passenger buses. The Shuttle Drivers are responsible for performing pre- and post-trip inspections in accordance with Department of Transportation (DOT) guidelines; cleaning buses, interior and exterior, based on posted schedule; checking tire pressure and fluid levels and refuel as necessary. The Shuttle Drivers will also be expected to notify supervisor(s) and/or manager of any vehicle maintenance needs; report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to management; complete safety training and certifications. The ideal candidate for this role will exemplify the philosophy and mission of Eau Palm Beach Resort & Spa.

This role is a flexible (AM / PM) position, and all candidates must be able to work weekends, holidays, and nights. We have (2) full-time positions available.

Essential Qualifications:

• High School graduate or equivalent vocational training.
• Ability to communicate in English with guests, visitors and hotel staff to their understanding.
• Ability to provide legible communication.
• Criminal-free record.
• Minimum, valid Class C, Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with passenger (P) endorsement
• 1 year of experience in similar position of transporting passengers.
• Complete knowledge of DOT guidelines and Commercial driving regulations
• A current Medical Examiner’s Certificate (DOT Medical Card) is required.
• Drivers are required to be twenty-one (2
• 2 or more years' experience in similar position of transporting passengers. (desired)
• Previous hospitality experience. (desired)
• Valid certification in C.P.R. and first aid. (desired)
• Computer training. (desired)
• Multilingual (desired)

Essential Skills:

• Ability to prioritize, organize and follow through.
• Ability to be a clear thinker, remain calm and make sound judgments in threatening situations.
• Assist Security Officers, by being observant and aware of your surroundings and reporting any unusual or suspicious activity to your supervisor/manager.
• Excellent interpersonal, relationship, communication (both written and oral), customer service, and organizational skills.
• Ability to read, count, and write to accurately complete all documentation per Department of Transportation (DOT) requirements.
• Ability to clearly communicate in English.
• Ability to apply basic mathematical skills such as adding, subtracting, multiplying, dividing in all units of measure.
• Ability to move, handle, and lift equipment generally weighing 0-50 pounds, and up to 75 pounds occasionally.
• Ability to perform vehicle inspections, maintain cleanliness of shuttle (interior and exterior), fuel buses, log trip counts, and assist disabled passengers.
• Ability to work in both inside and outside environmental conditions requiring prolonged standing, sitting, reaching, pushing and pulling, and other physical activities necessary to perform the job duties.
• Ability to maintain a flexible schedule to meet operational needs.
