Job Description Insight Global is seeking a Secret Software Engineer to support a federal client in Suffolk, VA.
• Designs, develops, documents, tests and debugs applications software and systems that contain logical and mathematical solutions.
• Conducts multidisciplinary research and collaborates with equipment designers and/or hardware engineers in the planning, design, development, and utilization of electronic data processing systems for product and commercial software.
• Determines computer user needs; analyzes system capabilities to resolve problems on program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques and controls; prepares operating instructions; designs and develops compilers and assemblers, utility programs, and operating systems.
• Develop well-written code using provided coding standards
• Testing software using a Test Procedure or Requirements document and documenting/correcting any errors found.
• Documents cold starts and develops software for new and revised virtual environment courses. Required Skills & Experience • 2 years experience with Bachelors in related field; 0 years experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 6 years relevant experience.
• Must have active security clearance
• Must have programming experience in: Java, JavaScript, and React Framework
• Must have primarily front-end development experience
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work both in a team and individually
• Solid organizational skills, including attention to detail
• Self-motivated and driven desire to succeed with minimal direction Nice to Have Skills & Experience • Working knowledge of C++/C# in a Visual Studio environment.
• Good software debugging skills.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 products a plus
