Job Title: Systems Engineer
Duration: Long-term contract (2+ years)
Experience Required: 2-4 years

Job Summary:

We are seeking a Systems Engineer with a strong foundation in embedded software and engine systems to support requirement management, design documentation, and validation processes. The ideal candidate should have experience working with internal combustion engines and be comfortable writing and managing software and hardware requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Interpret customer and product requirements and translate them into software and system specifications.
• Develop embedded software requirement documentation, design strategies, and validation plans.
• Collaborate with internal teams to support both hardware and software development cycles.
• Participate in electronic hardware requirements planning (6-12 month projects).
• Support software development efforts within a typical 3-month release cadence, contributing to requirements, designs, and validation.
• Document software functionality and participate in technical design reviews.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a relevant field (Master's degree acceptable with 2+ years of experience).
• 2-4 years of experience in systems engineering or embedded software development.
• Experience working with engine systems or internal combustion engines.
• Familiarity with MATLAB/Simulink .
• Working knowledge of C/C++ programming.
• Strong technical writing and communication skills.

Technical Skills (Required):

• MATLAB : Ability to analyze existing models and communicate their functionality.
• C/C++ : Basic programming knowledge for embedded systems.
• Microsoft 365 Suite : Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Ability to write clear and concise technical documentation .

Preferred/Desired Skills:

• Ability to develop and implement MATLAB/Simulink models.
• Understanding of internal combustion engine design .
• Prior experience with embedded control systems and requirement management.

Soft Skills:

• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional global teams, including virtual teams.

Work Environment:

• Onsite office environment with collaboration across engine product groups, systems engineers, and software developers.
• Virtual communication required with global team members.
