Age Range of Students: K-12

Experience as a School Based BCBA: Minimum 1 year full time school based or ABA clinic experience. 3 years experience preferred.

Board Certified Behavioral Analyst (BCBA) – School Based - Qualifications and Duties :

• BCBA will provide behavior analysis services and develop behavior intervention plans for special education students. In addition, this person provides support and professional learning to school staff, paraprofessionals, and parents/guardians, with respect to behavior intervention techniques, conducting assessments, and developing behavior intervention plans.
• Acts as liaison with the public and mental health community for the purpose of supporting individual student development goals.
• Administers programs and services for behaviorally or emotionally disturbed students.
• Assists with student crisis intervention, developing interventions, functional behavior assessments and behavior plans.
• Collaborates with school personnel, agencies, and families in coordinating individualized services for students. Collecting and Summarizing Behavioral Data
• Completes all reporting requirements as mandated by the district, state, federal, and educational agencies (i.e. restraint and seclusion, assessments, behavioral data)
• Participates in the development of Individualized Educational Programs for students.
• Provides social skills instruction to students utilizing research-based methodologies and approved District curricula.

License – Education - Certification :

• Board Certified Behavior Analyst Certification (BCBA) through BACB
• Master’s Degree
