About The Position
Job Title: Occupational Therapist Profession: Rehabilitation Therapy Specialty: Occupational Therapy Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 32 Experience: Minimum of 2 years preferred License: Must be licensed in good standing as an Occupational Therapist Certifications: Must hold a current certification by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) Must-Have: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification Description: Provides full-time, quality outpatient and inpatient occupational therapy care. May include some work at a local Long Term Care facility. Treats all patient age ranges and diagnoses within the scope of practice for occupational therapy. Includes home visits, village travel, and frequent collaboration with medical providers. Requires strong didactic skills due to direct access privilege for occupational therapy. Incorporates evidence-based medicine into patient plans of care. Exemplifies professional conduct, patient care ethics, and respect for cultural diversity during patient care. Modifies patient care plans appropriately, using age-specific and patient-specific considerations. Supports the mission statement of working together to achieve excellent health. Minimum education requirement is a Bachelor's degree from an accredited program in Occupational Therapy. No minimum clinical experience is required, but it is preferred. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret occupational therapy periodicals and medical literature. Ability to compose patient care documentation and medical correspondence. Ability to communicate effectively with medical staff, peers, and administrative personnel. Ability to communicate effectively with members of different cultures who may or may not speak English. Periodic self-assessment is required to ensure competency. Travelers must show proof of completed COVID vaccinations.
