Overview Local Truck Driver. Experienced or New Drivers (trainees). Responsibilities Drive local routes and deliver no-touch, dedicated freight from the distribution center (DC) to area retail stores. Routes are typically local with drivers home every day; day and night shifts available. 5- and 6-day schedules are available. Qualifications All drivers must be 21 years old with a valid Class A CDL license. Trainees may join with 21+ and a valid CDL; no driving experience is required for trainees. Trainees: Must be 21 with a valid Class A CDL license. No driving experience necessary. Experienced drivers must have at least one of the following: 6 months of solo verifiable OTR experience (after training) within the last 12 months At least 12 months in the past 5 years All experience must be with 48–53 ft trailers. Must have a very good driving record and be able to pass all DOT pre-employment screenings. Must have a good MVR and background. No job hoppers. Pay and Benefits MPW: 1200-1800 miles per week. 5-day work week: $800 - $1200 per week. Stop Pay: $10 for the first stop. Nights and weekends get an extra 0.4 CPM. 6-day work week: $1300 - $1550 per week. Stop Pay: $10 for the first stop; $15 for all other stops. Nights and weekends get an extra 0.5 CPM. Single Seat: 0.45 - 0.56 CPM (based on experience). Slip Seat: 0.46 - 0.59 CPM (based on experience). Detention Pay: $20/hr after 2 hours. Newer automatic trucks.
