Department Detail – Video Ministry Services award-winning team produces BGEA’s TV Specials, the "Billy Graham Classics", original Christian documentaries, short features and ministry-support content. They distribute programming worldwide through television broadcast, DVD and internet streaming on platforms such as Amazon, Netflix, Roku, iTunes, Redbox and others. Job Summary The Video Editor meets objectives as they relate to the goals of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association (BGEA) by editing video presentations for various audiences of the BGEA. Ministry Requirements Maintains a personal, active relationship with Jesus Christ and is a consistent witness for Jesus Christ Faithfully upholds BGEA in prayer Participates in daily BGEA staff devotions including Bible reading, and leading group prayer as schedule permits Demonstrates behavior aligned with BGEA’s Mission Statement, Statement of Faith, Hallmarks, policies, and expectations Effectively represents Jesus Christ to those within both personal and professional spheres of influence Essential Duties and Responsibilities Edit programs, commercials, stories, segments, promos, and other assignments as instructed by the Video Producer(s) while adhering to professional broadcast audio and video standards Complete projects under the direction of the Video Producer with little or no supervision; may act as an Associate Producer Contribute constructive video production ideas and overall organizational video strategies in meetings, on shoots, and during brainstorming sessions Ensure quality control standards on all projects edited Assist the Senior Manager Production Operations by researching equipment purchases related to editing systems and performing editor duties Marginal Duties Other duties as assigned Job Specifications Skills and Knowledge Must be able to take direction from the Senior Manager Production Operations with regard to department quality standards Good interpersonal communication skills Ability to write clearly and concisely Ability to work as a team member and take direction Committed to excellence Ability to meet inflexible deadlines Ability to be gracious working with non-technical people Initiative, flexibility, and resourcefulness essential Physical/Mental Demands Ability to travel domestically Ability to work long hours Ability to work with people from other organizations, with sensitivity to those of other cultures and races Ability to occasionally lift/move loads up to 70 pounds Working Conditions Conventional office environment with controlled heating/cooling and moderate noise Video shoot locations may expose the employee to wet/humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, high precarious places, risk of electrical shock, heat, cold, and weather, with potentially high noise levels Mission Statement Continuing the lifelong work of Billy Graham, BGEA exists to support and extend the evangelistic calling and ministry of Franklin Graham by proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus Christ to all we can by every effective means and by equipping the church and others to do the same. This includes beliefs about Scripture, God, Jesus Christ, salvation, resurrection, church unity, evangelism, marriage and sexuality, and the authority of Scripture. The full Statement of Faith is on file with BGEA. Expectations for Ministry Employment I acknowledge that the Lord Jesus Christ is my personal Savior and that I am a personal representative of Him. I understand that BGEA is a Christian organization whose purpose is proclaiming the Gospel worldwide. I agree that the purpose of my employment is to further its Christian purpose, and that my role plays a vital part in carrying out its mission. I understand that I must exhibit conduct consistent with BGEA’s expectations and scriptural teachings as set forth in God’s Word, the Statement of Faith, and BGEA policies. I understand that BGEA has the right to ensure its Christian religious purpose is carried out with the highest standards and not impeded by conduct inconsistent with the Bible, Statement of Faith, or policies. I understand that conduct inconsistent with these standards may result in corrective action up to termination of employment.
