Intrusion Detection Systems /ISSO
-Location: Eglin AFB, FL
-Format: Direct-hire as full-time employee
-Salary: $85,000 - 105,000
-Interview: 1-Round; Virtual
-Job Requirements: > Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, a related field or equivalent experience.
> A minimum of 5 years of experience in developing and implementing Intrusion Detection Systems and firewalls. > Requires a minimum of DoD Final SECRET clearance -Job Description:
Executing all aspects of the information systems and network security program under general supervision, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations related to network security and secure access to computer systems and data.
Performing regular audits to verify secure system operations and ensure adherence to defined information systems security policies and procedures as outlined in security plans.
Developing, testing, and managing firewalls, intrusion detection systems, enterprise antivirus solutions, and software deployment tools.
Protecting the network from unauthorized access, modification, destruction, or disclosure of information.
Researching, assessing, testing, recommending, and implementing new security software and devices.
Creating, enforcing, communicating, and developing security policies or plans concerning data, software applications, hardware, telecommunications, and information systems security education and awareness initiatives.
Investigating computer security violations and incidents, providing reports to management as necessary.
Responding to inquiries and requests for information regarding computer security, and generating reports as needed.
Depending on the organization structure, you may report to the Security department, acting as a liaison between IT and Security functions, or report directly to the IT department.
