Summary

The Inventory Control Specialist will work with the inside sales team, shipping department, accounting, and plant management. Their main duties will include controlling the flow of transactions, analyzing inventory, and developing protocols for loss mitigation. They will be an integral part of the inside sales team in all aspects of order fulfillment, customer service, and placing purchase orders.

Job Responsibilities

• Oversee ductile & accessory inventory.
• Lead inventory meetings.
• Manage inventory transactions.
• Organize pipe yard & accessory warehouse in conjunction with shipping department.
• Conduct monthly (or as needed) inventories of pipe & accessories.
• Assist inside sales team with order fulfillment & customer service.
• Placing purchase orders for pipe accessories and intercompany pipe orders.

Working Conditions

• Physical activities that require use of arms and legs.
• Lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Stooping, and handling tools and materials.
• The work environment is varied from a typical office setting to a warehouse environment that may be hot, cold, dusty, and noisy. As necessary, must wear common protective or safety equipment, such as safety shoes, glasses, gloves, hearing protection, and hard hats.
• Weekend work required as needed. Up to one Saturday per month.

Job Requirements

• Associate or bachelor degree in a business-related field OR 3 – 5 years of related experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics ERP is a bonus.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to efficiently manage multiple projects at once.
• Demonstrated ability as a detail-oriented project manager.
• Leadership experience coordinating teams of multiple stakeholders.
• Safety oriented mindset.
